Job Summary:
***This position requires an on-campus presence with little to no remote-work opportunities.***
The HHS Associate Dean models leadership that promotes a caring, committed connection to programs and the division, as well as an environment where open communication occurs. This position must demonstrate a commitment to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. They are responsible for the supervision, leadership, and management of Health & Human Services (HHS) division programs and services including creating and providing outstanding educational programs in health and human services and partnering with medical facilities/institutions in the region. They provide academic leadership in the development and maintenance of educational programs with communication and coordination between the various health and human services programs and support services in conjunction with all areas of the college and community. The associate dean will ensure that program level assessment, quality improvement, and accreditation activities are managed and completed. The associate dean reports to the Dean of Health and Human Services. In the event the Dean is absent, this position will temporarily fulfill commitment/duties of that position.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited school of higher learning.
Degree in a health, wellness, child development, or human services field.
Significant academic administrative experience (examples include but not limited to: Budget management, curriculum development/evaluation, strategic planning, etc.)
Demonstrated experience supervising and leading a team.
Demonstrated experience with student success and the assessment of student learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree related to a program offered at LCC in the HHS Division.
Experience teaching at the college level
Demonstrated experience with program/college accreditation processes.
