JOB SUMMARY:
Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.
Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach Flute and related courses in the Music Program. Specifically one-on-one Flute student instruction. Instrumentalists will be considered dependent on departmental needs. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Alternative Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Music or related from a regionally accredited college or university plus 2 years of professional experience; or Associate's degree in Music or related from a regionally accredited college or university plus 4 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience.
