Lanoha Nurseries, Inc is proud to provide top-of-the-line equipment and a great mechanical team to keep our front-line construction and landscaping teams moving. This position is a great opportunity for a mechanic who likes to work on varieties of equipment and work with the varieties of landscaping and construction industry tradesmen that this position supports.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional mechanic position
Proficient knowledge of 4-cycle v-twin and single cylinders engines as well as 2-cycle power equipment
Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic drive systems found in outdoor power equipment
Ability to work outside for job sire repairs in 4 seasons of NE weather conditions
Ability to with a team mentality
Ability to multitask, reprioritize, and apply urgency where need most
Safe listing techniques and use of lifting support resources
Safety ambassador for mechanic shop and equipment responsible for maintaining
Possession of own hand tools and tool storage – basic mechanic hand tools
Driver’s license
Responsibilities
Mechanic maintenance and repair of multiple types of equipment including outdoor power tools, commercial mowers and utility vehicles
Diagnostics and repairs for varieties of commercial mowers
Diagnostics and repairs on outdoor equipment including chainsaws, demo saws, cut off saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and air compressors
Diagnostic and repairs on UTVs and golf carts
Mechanic shop work and job-site repairs
Team mentality – cross collaboration and prioritization and divisional leadership
Safe operation of shop equipment and tools; overall safety awareness for self and team
Inventory and equipment check out process support for tools, parts and equipment
Campus fuel station assistance for employees and fuel deliveries
