Lanoha Nurseries is proud to provide top of the line trucks, trailers, and equipment a great mechanic team to keep our fleet moving. This position is a great opportunity for a mechanic who likes to work on varieties of equipment and work in a fast paced environment.
Requirements
Educational background in diesel technology or tenure in similar positions
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Ability to interpret schematics; or ability to learn with on the job training
Ability to work with a team mentality, redirect, and apply urgency where needed most
Safe lifting techniques & use of lifting support resources
Ability to work outside in NE weather conditions
Possession of own tools; journeyman level tool set or willingness to acquire
Drivers License required. CDL is a plus!
Knowledge of DOT Regulations is a plus!
Responsibilities
Mechanical maintenance of multiple types of equipment including commercial trucks, vehicles and construction equipment.
Diagnostics and repairs on gas & diesel engines, agricultural and construction equipment
Mechanic shop work and roadside repairs
Team mentality; cross collaboration and prioritization with divisional leadership and operators
Maintain a Safe work environment and safe operation of equipment
Inventory support for shop tools, parts, and equipment
DOT inspection support; on the job inspection training provided
