Job Title: Dose Nurse (LPN or RN)
Location: Gainesville, GA
Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 30-32 Hours per Week)

Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment team. The Dose Nurse plays a critical role in supporting patients on their recovery journey by safely and accurately administering medication, monitoring patient status, and maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a non-judgmental, team-oriented approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Accurately administer medications as prepared by the pharmacist and ordered by the physician
· Follow all federal, state, and facility rules and regulations related to opioid treatment programs
· Assess patients for signs and symptoms of intoxication or impairment due to drugs or alcohol prior to dosing
· Document medication administration and patient interactions thoroughly and accurately
· Communicate effectively with providers, counselors, pharmacists, and team members
· Maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate, respectful care
· Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team
· Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic clinic environment
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN or RN license in the State of Georgia
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong assessment and observational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and regulatory requirements
- Professional demeanor with a team-focused mindset
- Compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to individuals with substance use disorders
- Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or outpatient settings preferred but not required
