SUMMARY
The Host/Hostess at Bullfrog's Bar & Grille is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests from the moment they enter the establishment and until the time they depart. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Host/Hostess at Bullfrog's Bar & Grille is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests from the moment they enter the establishment and until the time they depart. They typically provide menus and answer the phone to handle reservations and provide any information that a guest may need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests in a friendly, polite manner.
- Be prompt, be reliable, and help your co-workers whenever possible.
- Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
- Estimate wait times for guests and monitoring the guest waiting list.
- Ensure that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
- Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
- Perform other duties as required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
