Food Expeditor (Expo) — Lanie's Cafe | Loudonville, NY Full-Time | $20–$24/hr
Lanie's Cafe is a well-established, award-winning neighborhood restaurant in Loudonville, known for a welcoming atmosphere, a menu with something for everyone, and a standard of hospitality we take pride in. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented expediter to join our team.
The Role The expo position sits at the center of our operation — the direct link between the kitchen and the floor. You'll be responsible for making sure every dish that goes out meets our standards: properly garnished, accurately plated, and ready for service. In a high-volume environment, your consistency and composure keep things running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Garnish and inspect all dishes before they leave the kitchen
- Tray and organize food items for service
- Handle take-out orders accurately and efficiently
- Communicate between kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain flow
- Assist with daily prep work and cleaning tasks
What We're Looking For
- Prior restaurant experience required
- Kitchen experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Organized, composed, and focused during busy service
- A reliable team player who takes their work seriously
Schedule Shifts vary and include lunch, dinner, and weekends.
