Description
A well know construction company is seeking a GIS Intern to Performs GIS mapping, analysis, and data collection to assist the GIS Analyst. Will be required to assist in field data collection.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducts GIS research involving literature searches, data evaluation, and acquisition.
2. Implementation of Database including training, data entry, and documentation.
3. Provide and create digital and hard copy data.
4. Maintain and update files in the GIS library.
5. Performs analysis on new and existing properties.
6. Provides mapping services for all departments within the company.
7. Surveying, including but not limited to using the GPS.
Requirements
· A Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in GIS, Geography, or other related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
1 year’ experience as a GIS Technician or equivalent.
· Knowledge of computer software programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD or experience with an equivalent software.
Ability to learn to operate computer aided surveying and GPS Systems
Salary : $22 - $28
