ESL Instructor – Weekend Classes (On-Site, Manhattan)
Amlotus Career School, a respected and long-standing language institution in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking enthusiastic ESL instructors to join our weekend teaching team. This role involves in-person instruction for adult learners — remote work is not available.
Schedule
- Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic, student-centered ESL lessons tailored to adult learners
- Adjust teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and proficiency levels
- Provide constructive, timely feedback to support student growth
- Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive classroom environment
- Use technology and interactive resources to enhance instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress and refine teaching approaches
Qualifications
- ESL Levels 1–5: Bachelor’s degree (TESOL/ESL/EFL preferred). A TESOL/TESL/TEFL certificate is required if your degree is in another field.
- ESL Level 6 & Advanced Writing: Master’s degree preferred (TESOL/ESL/EFL). A TESOL/TESL/TEFL certificate is required if your degree is in another field.
- Minimum 1 year of ESL teaching experience at a postsecondary institution (adult learners preferred)
- BPSS license strongly preferred (assistance provided for eligible candidates)
- Excellent English proficiency and communication skills
- Ability to deliver a successful demo lesson
