Founded in 2008 by Renee Werner, Language Essentials, Inc. is an expanding speech pathology and occupational therapy practice in the San Francisco East Bay Area. We are known in our community for providing individual, friendly services to our patients and their families. We operate in 3 locations, and we are growing fast. We added occupational therapy to the practice in 2021, due to the strong need in the community.

Offered Salary And Other Compensation

Based on your experience and performance record, we offer a yearly salary of $88,000 to $115,000 which would be prorated for the part-time position. This salary would be prorated based on the number of hours worked per week in a part-time capacity. Additionally, we offer (based on full-time status which would be prorated for this role):

Your Mission As Speech Language Pathologist

The purpose of the Position at Language Essentials is to empower every person to thrive by building meaningful skills for everyday life—through compassionate, personalized, and purposeful therapy. As one of our Speech Language Pathologists, you will be responsible for providing life-changing treatment, support and care for children and adult patients who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking and swallowing.

Speech Language Pathologist’s Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans for communication, feeding, and/or swallowing needs
  • Liaise with family members, counselors, teachers, psychologists, doctors, and other professionals to design holistic treatments
  • Compile extensive notes on patients’ progress
  • Adjust therapies and treatment plans where necessary.

Required Experience And Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • 1 years of experience providing speech therapy
  • Competent Computer Skills
  • Hold required California license or has applied.
