As a senior Structural Mechanics Engineer in the Structural and Thermal Systems Branch, you will support the Artemis Program and other missions, including serving as the Orion Subsystem Manager for the Heatshield, Launch Abort System, or other spacecraft and aircraft projects. You will provide authoritative leadership in the design, analysis, and certification of structural systems, ensuring structural integrity, mission readiness, and flight safety across a range of aerospace missions.

- Analyzing and testing human-rated spacecraft structures, including atmospheric reentry heat shields, their support structures, or launch vehicle structures, as well as performing structural analysis and testing for spacecraft and aircraft systems;
- Conducting theoretical and experimental structural analysis of advanced aerospace vehicle systems including spacecraft, launch vehicles, and aircraft to determine their behavior in atmospheric and space environments, or their interaction with the environment;
- Documenting and presenting work products using reports, trade studies, presentations, technical papers, design guides, to explain the results of structural analyses completed to assess the spacecraft, launch vehicles and aircraft structures.
