Job description
We are a privately owned small-business that provides general practice medicine for all types of pets; including the feathered and scaled kind. Our clinic is a fast-paced, versatile clinic that performs ophthalmic, orthopedic, and a variety of soft tissue surgeries. We are looking for a positive, dependable, detail oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team full time; but would also consider part time. Experience is preferred but not required. New grads are welcome!
We work as a team with our clients to provide the best medicine possible for their pets. We have a more “home town doctor” feel to our practice and are a family-focused team. Several of our team are parents and understand the needs of being a parent. We are a small team that wants to help each other succeed in all aspects of our lives. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. You may be required to work extended hours in the rare event of an emergency.
Current Nebraska LVT or CVT license required.
Responsibilities
- Client communication and education, pre-/post-op instructions, preventative care advice.
- Assisting with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including anesthesia administration and patient monitoring.
- Performing lab tests, radiographs, and other diagnostic services.
- Handling animals with compassion and care during exams and treatments.
- Filling of medication
- Basic cleaning duties
