We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to lead quality across our winery operations, including the laboratory, cellar, and bottling departments. This role is responsible for ensuring our wines consistently meet company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and production specifications while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What You’ll Do

The QA/QC Manager will oversee and support quality assurance and quality control programs throughout winery operations, including:

  • Managing laboratory operations, testing programs, and quality systems
  • Developing and maintaining SOPs, HACCP procedures, and quality protocols
  • Supporting wine quality standards across winemaking, cellar, and bottling operations
  • Monitoring bottling line quality, inspections, and final product conformity utilizing AQL standards
  • Conducting audits, inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Winemaking, Cellar, Bottling, and Safety teams
  • Overseeing laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Monitoring sanitation, environmental conditions, and compliance standards throughout production facilities
  • Developing quality metrics, scorecards, KPI/KPO reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Training and mentoring staff on QA/QC procedures, SOPs, recall procedures, and best practices
  • Supporting regulatory compliance including TTB, HACCP, food safety, and export compliance requirements
  • Researching and implementing new technologies and quality improvement methods to improve operational efficiency and product consistency

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Enology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive quality assurance or quality management experience within the wine industry
  • Strong understanding of winery laboratory operations, cellar operations, and bottling line quality systems
  • Experience with HACCP, TTB compliance, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and quality management systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ, HACCP, or ISO are highly desirable
