We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary QC Technician to support our bottling and production operations. This hands-on position plays an important role in ensuring our wines meet the highest quality, packaging, and regulatory standards throughout the bottling process.

What You’ll Do
The QC Technician is responsible for monitoring wine quality, bottling line performance, packaging compliance, and production documentation to help ensure product integrity from bottling to finished goods.
Quality Control & Testing
- Perform pre-bottling quality checks including fill height verification, clarity checks, sensory evaluation, and basic wine quality monitoring.
- Conduct in-process inspections during bottling operations to verify:
- Fill levels and ullage
- Cork and screw cap integrity
- Capsule placement
- Label accuracy
- Packaging appearance and compliance
- Monitor dissolved oxygen levels and assist with wine stability checks during bottling runs.
- Verify labels, lot codes, cartons, bottles, and packaging materials meet winery and regulatory specifications.
- Collect and retain product samples for quality assurance and traceability purposes.
Production Line Monitoring
- Inspect bottling line setup to ensure equipment cleanliness and operational readiness.
- Monitor bottling equipment including fillers, corkers, cappers, labelers, and case packers during production runs.
- Identify and communicate production, mechanical, or quality concerns to Bottling Leadership or Maintenance teams.
- Assist with line audits and support winery SOP, GMP, and food safety compliance efforts.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection logs, and production documentation.
- Verify incoming dry goods and packaging materials meet winery standards before production use.
- Support traceability and compliance programs through organized recordkeeping.
Sanitation & Team Support
- Confirm sanitation procedures are properly completed before and after production shifts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to bottling efficiency and product quality.
- Follow all winery safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns in a production environment.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the wine, beverage, food manufacturing, or production industry.
- Basic laboratory, quality control, or bottling experience.
- Familiarity with bottling and packaging operations.
- Understanding of GMPs, HACCP principles, sanitation, and winery compliance standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to recognize bottling line issues.
