We are seeking a skilled Butcher/Meat Cutter or an Apprentice who is looking to learn a new trade to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of meat products while adhering to food safety standards. The Meat Cutter will contribute significantly to our commitment to serve our community with the best quality of meats. Pay will be determine by experience.
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure all meat handling procedures comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of meat products.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and fulfilling special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meat for various dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Meat Cutter or in a similar role within the food industry for a minimum of 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to operate cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality presentation.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
