Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to oversee activity and ensure safety
- Manage entry points by verifying identities, performing background checks, and controlling access for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by implementing established emergency response procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for future review
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies
- Utilize non-lethal defense tools such as Tasers or firearms following strict safety protocols to manage conflict situations effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, or military service with a strong understanding of physical security measures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and maintaining physical security during patrols or interventions
- Skilled in conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management to resolve issues peacefully
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service and collaboration with law enforcement agencies when needed
- Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and ensure compliance with security regulations at all times
