Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Blanchard Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Blanchard grinding machines to produce high-precision metal parts according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement will ensure we maintain our standards of excellence. Duties
- Set up and operate Blanchard grinding machines with precision to meet specified tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine grinding parameters
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on grinding equipment to minimize downtime
- Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC machining, CAD drawings, or assembly tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including dimensions, machine settings, and inspection results
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Blanchard grinders or similar surface grinding equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings
- Ability to interpret shop math and perform dimensional measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance
- Experience with shop tools such as hand tools, press brake machines, stamping presses, lathes, milling machines, and fabrication equipment preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and materials handling procedures
- SolidWorks or CAD experience is a plus for interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for maintaining quality control documentation

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 56.0 per week
