Position Summary
The CA is to support resident care needs by performing delegated resident care and non-resident care tasks. The Ca is responsible for assisting the care team in the treatment and care of the resident in accordance with established policies and procedures, and to have close communication with the team members and residents.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Provide professional, quality care to all residents following their individual care plans to meet their daily needs.
-Maintain a clean and sanitary environment
-Communicates residents' concerns regarding their health/mental health to CNS and LALD in a timely manner and per care plan specifics
-Administer medications, asset up by skilled nursing staff, and as directed/as needed ensuring that all medications are given following the 6 rights of medication administration

and documents medication administration timely in the EMR
-Communicates with residents, families, staff, and visitors in a professional manner
-Maintains the ethical and confidentiality standards with all resident's information
-Follow infection control guidelines and polices
-Ensure resident safety is met in all aspects
-Assist kitchen staff as needed with serving meals/kitchen clean-up
-Attend and complete education as scheduled and required
-Attend meetings as directed by administration
Demonstrate Appropriate and Safe Techniques with Body Mechanics and Residents Personal Cares
-Bathing/Showering
-Hair Care/ Shampoo
-Nail/Skin Care
-Oral Hygiene
-Hearing Aid Care/Placement
-Toileting/Peri Care
-Safe transfer technique with gate belt and ambulation
-Normal range of motion and positioning
-Adequate nutrition and fluid intake monitoring, including assistance with eating if needed
-Assistance with dressing and undressing. Assistance with teds socks
-End of life cares when applicable
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have personal care training program and competency test. (provided by employer with initial training)
Ability to build rapport with residents
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High School Diploma or GED
Clear DHS background study
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate in a respectful and understanding manner with co-workers and our residents
Complete a 2 step Mantoux test
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
