Lang Pharma Nutrition is a high quality, global private label retail product development company which provides a flexible manufacturing offering and solutions for retail partners around the world.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Manufacturing Engineer to help to ensure that new and existing Lang products are produced accurately and on time, and that rigorous internal and industry standards are met. This position works closely with internal partners as well as printers and contracted manufacturing and packaging providers. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer implements improvements to production processes and methods and is a subject matter expert on the company’s sustainability reporting and progress.
This position is a hybrid position, requiring in office presence at least 3 days a week.
JOB FUNCTION AND DUTIES
- Prepare bottle fill tests, record results, and disseminate information
- Ensure accurate dimensions and weight configuration for products
- Prepare and manage product and packaging specification documents
- Assist with maximizing pallet configurations for new and existing products
- Prepare finished product case labels for contract manufacturers and packagers
- Create and send RFQs to packaging suppliers
- Review and approve finished product artwork on web-based tool
- Input required information on new item and item change forms
- Subject matter expert of retailer requirements on responsible sourcing and sustainability
- Maintain department records including partner database, packaging database, assorted trackers, and analytics
- Optimize Lang and co-packer component mix for inventory, costs, and efficiency
- Source and support qualification of new contract manufacturers, packagers, 3PLs and printers
- Visit partner sites as needed for audits, new production or print runs, and business reviews
- Provide technical support to internal and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and packaging issues
- Utilize data-driven insights and performance metrics to strengthen partner network performance and assess footprint opportunities
- Special projects and other tasks as assigned
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or related field preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
