Product Design Engineer
Hybrid | Full-Time | Malta Dynamics
Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in the Malta, Ohio office and 2 days working from home.
About the Role
Malta Dynamics is seeking an enthusiastic Product Design Engineer to join our growing product development team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help design, prototype, test, and improve fall protection and safety products used on job sites across the country. You’ll work closely with the Product Development Manager and collaborate with international vendors, engineers, and testing partners to bring new products to life.

What You’ll Do
- Design and engineer fall protection and safety products.
- Create and update CAD models, drawings, and design files.
- Work with international vendors, engineers, and testing facilities on prototypes and production samples.
- Support product testing and help prepare technical data for manuals, labels, and other materials.
- Assist with improving product performance, durability, and usability.
- Help maintain documentation for product designs and revisions.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in product development or product design, with a solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- CAD and design experience.
- Ability to learn and operate design and prototyping equipment, including sewing machines, 3D printers, load cells, and similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
- Willingness to learn OSHA and ANSI fall protection regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while taking direction from the Product Development Manager.
