What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Engineer position at Lang Masonry Contractors Inc?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Project Engineer is to assist the Project Managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure document control and various requests having to do with project detail.
What you'll do:
- Retrieving submittals, entering submittals into the system and submitting
- Entering time into the system for weekly timecards
- Entering schedule of values
- Manage subcontractor paperwork and pay
- Estimate subcontractor breakout to Operations Assistant
- Process change order requests
- Review forms of request – RFI’s, PR’s, ASI’s, and bulletins
- Process purchase orders
- Develop take offs
What we are looking for:
- Degree in construction technology or related field is desired but not required
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial masonry desired
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow corporate processes
