Description:
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing proper maintenance procedures to promote the efficient and safe operation of production equipment, building systems and work areas. This role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Diagnoses machine/equipment malfunction and determines need for adjustment or repair.
- Works with other members of the maintenance team in major plant production equipment and systems repairs including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gears, sprockets, chains, stream control, air control systems, and boilers.
- Handles electrical repairs and installations by installing wires, motors, controllers, electrical fixtures and etc. to complete a work assignment.
- Troubleshooting PLC and AC frequency drives.
- Other duties/tasks assigned by direct supervisor or any managerial staff member.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience in electrical and mechanical diagnostic and repair in an industrial production environment.
- Accomplished in the use of a variety of test equipment and machine tools.
- Basic working knowledge of a P.C. - based parts and work order system is a plus.
- Demonstrated positive safety attitude.
- Individual must be quality conscious, detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical print and diagrams, both domestic and foreign.
