What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterilization Tech position at Lane & Associates Family Dentistry?
Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties within the dental office. The Sterilization Technician’s primary duty will be working with clinical staff to ensure instruments used for procedures are sterilized.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleans & sterilizes instruments
- Follows Company Sterilization Protocol along with other rules & regulations
- Keeps track of inventory in the sterilization area
- Keep all counters clean, neat & organized.
- Perform weekly spore testing and maintain a log of the results
- Perform weekly and monthly maintenance of Autoclave(s)
- Maintain proper pre-set trays and ensure they are ready for anticipated procedures.
- Assists with laundry duties
- End of day duties designated by Head Dental Assistant
- Help stock rooms
- Other Duties as assigned

Job Specifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- DAI Certification
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
