Duties
- Operate front end loaders to load, unload, and transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris on construction sites
- Safely operate additional heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with site preparation by moving materials and clearing debris
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other operators to execute tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily operations
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as front end loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, or horizontal drilling machinery
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is a plus
