Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and weed control to enhance aesthetic appeal.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues related to sprinklers or irrigation equipment.
- Conduct plant identification to assess plant health, identify pests or diseases, and recommend appropriate care or pesticide management strategies.
- Execute tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety protocols to promote healthy growth.
- Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures through cleaning or minor repairs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and excavators is essential for efficient operation.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing patterns, planting procedures, and hardscape upkeep is advantageous.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting enhances your ability to support sustainable watering practices.
- Experience with pesticide management or plant health assessment helps maintain vibrant landscapes while adhering to safety standards.
- Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape projects adds value when assisting with outdoor renovations or improvements.
