What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Landscape Workshop?
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the direction and supervision of the General Counsel:
- Contract Review, Negotiation, and Management: Review, draft, and negotiate company-customer service agreements, commercial leases, vendor/supplier contracts, and subcontracts. Maintain a comprehensive contract library and track key obligations and deadlines using software tools/applications.
- Commercial Real Estate Management: Assist with lease reviews, tracking, and
- negotiations for approximately 50 branch locations. Manage relationships with brokers and assist in securing housing for seasonal (H2B visa) workers
- Compliance and Legal Research Support: Provide research and compliance support on employment/HR, immigration/seasonal employment, OSHA, motor vehicle safety, and occupational licensing topics
- Insurance Claims Management: Assist with managing insurance claims and related documentation
- Special Projects and Executive Administrative Support: conduct or lead special research and other corporate/multi-disciplinary projects as assigned by the General Counsel or Chief Executive Officer; manage professional memberships, conference attendance coordination, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a paralegal role within a law firm or in-house legal
department and national or state-level paralegal certification required.
Preferred: 10 years of experience including significant exposure to commercial real estate, contract/vendor management, construction, and/or insurance.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and
- Adobe Acrobat applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and clerical abilities
Work Environment Requirements:
- Full time in office
- Light Travel as needed
