What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Install Crew Member position at Landscape Workshop LLC?
- Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials during Landscape install activities
- Safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered sawing and cutting equipment
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push, pull, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items (e.g., pruning)
- Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris.
- Bend and kneel up to 9 hours or more a day
Work Environment:
- Work hours vary and may exceed 9 hours per day
- Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation)
- Noise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required (e.g., outdoor conditions, s, skid steer, trenchers)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Some experience in landscaping helpful.
- Must be able to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers
All positions are outdoors, very physical and fast paced. We typically work Monday-Friday. Estimated start time is 7:00am till 4:30pm. End and start times vary depending on traffic, weather and job task. Construction may require overtime work including Saturday and Sunday. Out of town work is also possible.

A Crew Member is responsible for safely and efficiently producing quality installation that meets or exceeds the expectations of Landscape Workshop and our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare trucks for day and collect materials for job(s):
- Load gas cans and equipment onto trucks/trailers; includes loading/unloading skid steers, etc.
- Load/unload materials for job; includes trees, shrubs, sod, plants, etc.
- Secure all equipment
- Maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment
Work on properties:
- Safely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipment
- Prepare planting areas for trees, shrubs, ground cover, and sod/seeded areas
- Mulch planting beds with pine straw, assorted mulches, and stone
Perform Ground Preparation and fine grading
- Plant material properly considering depth, size, placement, and spacing
- Apply mulch appropriately for type of material
- Water material correctly
- Establish new bed edges for newly landscaped areas
Machine Operators:
- Wash equipment and truck, keep cab free of debris
- Grease machines
