Landscape Workshop (LW) is a leading full-service commercial landscaping company delivering high-quality maintenance and enhancement solutions across the Southeast. We are rapidly expanding and seeking a Director of Operations to drive operational excellence and strengthen our operations team. This role requires weekly travel, excluding weekends.
Position Summary
The Director of Operations has two primary focuses:

Address Operational Gaps – Assist newly acquired businesses to ensure smooth operations.

Build Team Capability – Develop and mentor operations staff through classroom training, one-on-one coaching, and hands-on guidance to reduce future operational gaps.
This role requires a strategic thinker who leads by example, collaborates across teams, and drives consistent, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of branch.

Ensure customer satisfaction through strong relationship management, communication, and regular site visits.

Allocate resources effectively: scheduling, crew assignments, equipment needs, and repairs.

Support crew leaders with horticulture training, equipment maintenance, daily instructions, and labor conflict resolution.

Maintain a safe environment for employees, clients, and the public.

Apply LW methodology and enforce project standards consistently.

Recommend and coordinate enhancement services to improve client sites on time and within budget.

Track and report team hours, expenses, and additional sales weekly.

Assist Branch Managers with project budgets and facilitate client meetings.

Conduct regular status meetings with crew leaders and provide operational guidance.

Estimate jobs and follow up on proposals as needed.

Oversee care and maintenance of equipment.

Communicate business development opportunities effectively with team members and sales representatives.
Requirements

Experience managing landscape maintenance teams and interacting directly with customers.

Proficiency with Aspire, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (two- or four-year) or equivalent work experience.

Willingness and ability to travel weekly, excluding weekends.
