Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and attractive
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, tree trimming, and shrubbery care
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, trenching, and installing irrigation systems
- Support hardscape projects by laying pavers, retaining walls, or pathways under supervision
- Conduct snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
- Maintain equipment such as excavators and other machinery through routine inspections and basic repairs
- Support tree care efforts by trimming branches, removing debris, or assisting with planting new trees
Experience
- Prior experience with landscaping or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Basic mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, and pest control techniques
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance procedures such as irrigation system installation and seasonal cleanup
- Understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and soil management is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn new skills in construction, tree care, or snow removal
