Join our team as a Day Time Parking Lot Attendant and be the friendly face that ensures smooth, safe, and efficient parking operations during busy daytime hours. In this lively role, you’ll manage parking lot flow, assist customers with parking needs, and uphold a positive experience for all visitors. Moreover, you will ensure parking in our busy, down-town lot is for actively shopping customers only (or paying parking customers). "Idle time" job duties may include sweeping and clean up duties outside as seeing fit. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining order and safety in the parking area. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop customer service expertise and gain valuable dealership or retail experience. This is an outdoor position and as such, some exposure to sun or rain is likely. We do have areas to seek shade or shelter but the position requires someone who can be active both standing or sitting and moving, as well as someone who enjoys talking to customers and just folks who may be walking about town. This is a high visibility position - we are looking for someone who doesn't want to just hide in the parking lot. :)
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they arrive and depart, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Direct vehicles to available parking spots. (you will not help anyone actually drive or park - that is the responsibility of the driver).
- Maintain a clean, organized parking area by monitoring for hazards or obstructions and reporting issues promptly
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and management to coordinate parking operations effectively
- Assist with basic retail math calculations for cash handling and transaction balancing
Qualifications
- Prior experience in parking, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods during shifts
- Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with retail math concepts
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment

This is a seasonal position. Hours will be 10a-5pm with set work days. We are looking to hire 2 people (either 1 full time and 1 part time or 2 part time positions). Position is open immediately. We will train the right candidate. This is a potentially fun position as you will be right down town in Provincetown and outside all summer long, communicating with the inside store personnel via an issued walkie-talkie.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
