Summary/Objective
The Chemical Applicator is responsible for performing chemical applications across all landscaped areas, including fertilizing trees, turf, and shrubs. This role ensures proper handling, application, and storage of chemicals in compliance with all safety regulations.
Essential Functions
Overall Responsibilities/Duties
- Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment.
- Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensures the safe handling and application of chemicals.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the operation of sprayers and spreaders.
- Reads and interprets chemical labels to ensure proper application and compliance.
- Maintains and keeps SDS documentation current and organized.
- Manage inventory and usage of chemicals, including pesticides and fertilizers.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitors treated areas to ensure effectiveness and identify any follow-up needs.
- Completes accurate application records and preliminary reports as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position may require overnight travel, depending on operational needs. Extensive driving may be required. Please note: Smoking in company trucks is not permitted.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of irrigation experience
Basic computer and mobile technology skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, or similar systems)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Certifications in Landscape Maintenance and/or Chemical Application
- Qualified Applicator License
