We’re looking for the next Marketing Manager for a fast-paced association in the DC area. In this role, you’ll lead membership and product marketing efforts that boost growth, retention, and engagement. Success in this role calls for someone who’s organized, collaborative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects from strategy to execution.
Location: hybrid in Alexandria, VA (out-of-area candidates will not be considered).
What You’ll Do
- Plan and carry out membership campaigns that attract new members and keep current members engaged.
- Build and manage annual marketing plans for membership and core product lines, including promotions and messaging.
- Oversee campaign development across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Track member activity and campaign results to refine outreach and identify growth opportunities.
- Tailor outreach to a variety of audience segments.
- Work with internal creative teams, vendors, and external vendors to produce timely and effective marketing materials.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects at once.
- Support local chapter marketing requests and coordinate promotional efforts for publications or key programs.
- Supervise two marketing specialists while collaborating closely with other team leads.
The Quals You’ll Need
- 5–7 years of marketing experience, ideally with membership or subscription programs.
- Hands-on experience running multi-channel campaigns across email, digital ads, and social platforms.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience analyzing marketing metrics and adjusting tactics to improve results.
- Comfortable managing people and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- A proactive, flexible mindset and a genuine interest in helping members connect and grow.
