ROLE
An exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Controller to join us in providing a first-class finance function, supporting the MD and Board with accurate and timely financial information and reporting.
The role is a key member of the leadership team, holding responsibility financial governance, management and reporting for the division. The holder will also be a key mentor / guide to other non-financial members of the leadership team, and indeed wider business, ensuring that financial information and its use / effect is understood. Thus, allowing positive changes to be enacted to improve the business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Focus on all daily and month-end accounting procedures for the account results, including P&L activity (management fees, fee splits, gross-up entries, reclasses, etc.), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals); accounts receivable /cash application in compliance with UK national audit requirements.
- Cash management and forecasting
- Identify new metrics to drive business performance relative to strategic priorities while minimizing risk
- Drive value within the business through margin enhancement, lowering costs and driving operational efficiencies
- Execute accurate reporting, enabling yourself to analyze options and make financial recommendations
- Provide insight into business performance against competitors and industry trends
- Manage relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities
- Comply with legal and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and maintaining compliance
- Develop financial and valuation models, materials, and recommendations by conducting comprehensive financial analyses and utilizing appropriate valuation methods for executive decision-making
- Coordinate strategic financial plan process for FIL, including expenses, income, insurance coverage, objectives, or other elements to build a strategy
- Support colleagues in the implementation of valuation models, development of ongoing measurement, tracking performance versus expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective actions
- Provide insight into spending trends and cost-savings initiatives and margin opportunities
- Ownership of inventory management policy and accuracy, including any stock counting
- Lead business capital and find raising initiatives, including any available grant support etc.
- Oversee outsourced HR function, including relevant requirements and information
- Manage and develop the finance function / team
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 Years of financial and accounting experience
- Full external audit management and control
- Forecast, budget and strategic planning preparation
- Dealing directly with customers and suppliers
- High level capability of Microsoft Office tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Working with ERP & MRP systems or equivalent type databases
- High level general administration tasks
- Co-ordinating the timely presentation of information
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
