Our client, a local consulting services company in Sarasota, Florida needs a full-time Branch Manager/ Senior Engineering Associate to join their team. The position will support all operations of the Sarasota office, build relationships with customers, manage productivity and sales and deliver on roof, building enclosure and exterior wall engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Engineering/ Field Work
- Conduct and oversee on-site inspections and assessments of existing building enclosure components, and building systems to evaluate their condition, performance, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Perform site visits to collect data, conduct tests, and gather samples for analysis to support engineering investigations and studies.
- Prepare detailed field reports and assessment reports, document findings, observations, and recommendations for maintenance, repair, or replacement of structural and building enclosure systems.
As a part of the role, you will be required to:
- Develop designs, drawings, and specifications for restoration projects based on field assessments and project requirements.
- Utilize and/or work with our computer-aided design (CAD) department/software to create detailed drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and scope of work.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other company personnel to refine designs, address technical challenges, and optimize solutions.
Within this role, in the Sarasota office, you will be required to provide Technical Support and Team Assistance, which includes:
- Assisting other team members with their workload by providing guidance, reviewing their reports, designs and drawings, and ensuring quality control throughout the project(s).
- You will also be required to participate in project meetings, provide updates on project progress, and offer input on solutions and strategies.
Business Development and Direct Sales:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs, provide exceptional service, and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services and expand the client base, locally.
- Actively participate in selling the company’s engineering and consulting services, including meeting with prospective clients, preparing proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies.
- Develop a pipeline of new customers and projects through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
- Develop targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and content that highlight the company’s expertise and capabilities.
- Grow the local office’s presence and revenue.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Engineering and President and other senior leaders to align business development activities with the company’s overall growth strategy.
- Prepare reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights, and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required.
- Professional licensure as an engineer strongly preferred.
- RRC, RBEC, REWC or RRO registration strongly preferred.
- 8 – 12 years of relevant experience.
Other:
- At times, personnel from various offices will need to travel to other offices to assist on projects located in the Southwestern US. This position may require travel frequently for a portion of any given week to travel to a project to perform on-site work whether for an investigation, design, meeting or on-site review.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
