The JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN is responsible for performing electrical installations, alterations, additions and repairs to electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment while adhering to assigned schedules, quality, safety and regulatory standards. Expected to be self motivated, showing initiative to problem solve and produce results. We expect each team member here to exude a self employed mentality treating other team members, customers and the company like its their own.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components/systems such as switch gears, motor control centers (MCCs), panels, CT cabinets, transformers, conveyor systems, lighting, power supplies, and devices using various hand and power tools.
• Bend, thread and Install conduit such as: EMT, Rigid, PVC and Aluminum.
• Install and terminate various types and sizes of conductors/conductor systems per NEC and manufacturers recommendations.
• Use test devices such as multimeters, clamp-on meters, insulation testers, ground resistance testers and locators to troubleshoot and verify the safety of electrical components and systems.
• Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Direct and train team members in proper methods to install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, or components.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of experience in the commercial /industrial electrical industry.
• Ability to understand and implement the NEC to install and repair electrical systems.
• Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other project specifications.
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment
• Demonstrates safe work habits adhering to company safety procedures and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Kentucky Electrical License (EE) preferred. If not a holder, must sign agreement to obtain within 6 months.
• Must have a valid driver's license with clean record.
• High standard of integrity and professionalism.

Experience:

• Industrial electrician: 5 years (Preferred)
• Commercial electrician: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)
