Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Survey Quality Assurance Specialist. Based in Austin, TX, this role offers flexibility with part-time work-from-home arrangements. The specialist will oversee quality assurance processes, review survey data for accuracy, and support operational functions like project coordination and workflow optimization. The role includes collaboration with survey technicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining clear communication across stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain Asana trackers as the single-source-of-truth for surveying deliverables.
  • Maintain templates and create checklists to ensure consistent drafting standards.
  • Review and validate subdivision title surveys for quality before client delivery.
  • Ensure surveys are delivered to clients two weeks before closing where possible.
  • Drive continuous improvement of drafting processes.
  • Keep team aware of end-to-end status of title-related deliverables and escalates quality or delivery risks for broad visibility and resolution. 
  • Oversee equipment readiness, maintenance, and calibration including vehicles, GPS units, drones, etc.
  • Maintain field crew and office team calendars.
  • Produce regular reporting (daily/weekly/monthly) on survey status, SLA adherence, and team utilization.


Qualifications

  • 3 years of survey drafting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GPS, Total Station, and data collection workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of Civil3D, Asana, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of survey standards and client documentation requirements.
  • High attention to detail and quality control mindset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, engineering, geography, or a related field is an asset

Compensation

  • This position includes a base salary of $60,000-$70,000 based on skills and experience, a $500 signing bonus, and a commission of 10% of the net-profit of projects from any new clients. Total compensation opportunities are up to $125,000 in the first year between base and commission.
