Per Diem Staff Nurse Job Type: Per Diem Description Job Title: Per Diem Staff Nurse (Elementary•Middle School and High School) Reports to: Director of Health Services Status: Per Diem Mission and Background Landmark is a coeducational, multi-campus, approved Massachusetts Chapter 766 Private Day and Boarding school enrolling students in grades 2-12 diagnosed with dyslexia or another language-based learning disability (LBLD). These fall under the broader category of specific learning disabilities (SLD). Landmark’s unique, individualized approach empowers students to reach their academic and social potential. Staff Nurse Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students including first aid, emergency response, and management of chronic conditions. Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed guidelines and school policies. Maintain and update student health records, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to support student health and well-being. Support school-wide health and safety initiatives, including infection control and emergency preparedness. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency medical services when necessary. Summary Per Diem day/evening shifts (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 3:00–10:00 p.m.) as needed Per Diem weekend shifts as needed (10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) Requirements Current Massachusetts RN License (LPN License will be considered with school experience) Nursing experience in a school, community, or pediatric setting is preferred. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, relevant experience, education, and alignment with Landmark School’s pay framework for internal equity.
