Landmark Student Life Live-In Faculty
The Student Life Live-in Faculty position at The Landmark School represents an opportunity to join one of the world’s leading high schools for students with language-based learning differences. The successful candidate will gain experience in the social emotional development of adolescents, as well as exposure to groundbreaking dyslexic education - all while also having the flexibility to have their mornings and early afternoons free to pursue advanced studies or other pursuits.
The Student Life Live-in is responsible for the following skills and tasks, and works in concert with other members of the Student Life Team, faculty members on Dorm Coverage, and the Administrative team to meet student needs. The mission of the Department provides a space for students to grow their understanding of LBLD, promote positive self-advocacy, develop organizational skills, and increase awareness of the complexity of their social environment. The Student Life Live-in is part of a team of adults mentoring, coaching, and ensuring the safety and well being of a dormitory of 15-25 high school students. This position would include living in a female-identifying student dorm on Landmark's campus.
- Student Life Coverage:
- Dormitory coverage one weeknight/week - 6:00-10:00pm
- Occasional work on Weekends
- Willingness to drive students to Beverly Depot Train Station, Logan Airport, or South Station
- Chaperone or provide student transportation for student evening activities
- Provide overnight coverage ~2 nights/week
- Address Student needs
- Communication of the expectations of the Level System (development of executive function skills) to house students as a group and individually.
- Behavior management:
- be aware of patterns of behavior, hold students accountable, and recognize effort and improvement to create effective systems that address ongoing concerns
- Partner with House Parent to coordinate social and educational house nights that address student needs
Communication
- Regularly and reliably communicate with relevant faculty and staff, particularly House Parents, Campus Coordinators, and Deans of - Students, to provide consistent student updates
- Respond to emails in a timely manner

- Position comes with $5,000 stipend
10-Month position includes fully-subsided rent, health benefits, 401k, free meals (when school is in session), and vacation days.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree are preferred, but candidates with significant appropriate experience or making progress towards a bachelor’s degree will also be considered. A valid driver’s license is necessary.
