Bank Manager

Position Summary

The Bank Manager leads a branch team in delivering exceptional customer service, building strong customer relationships, and supporting Landmark National Bank's commitment to serving our communities. This role drives branch growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while leading business development efforts and community engagement. The Bank Manager coaches and develops Associates, promotes accountability for service and sales performance, and partners with bank leadership and other divisions to achieve branch and organizational goals.

Essential Functions

• People Leadership
• Attract, hire, onboard, develop, engage, and retain high-performing Associates.
• Establish clear expectations and hold Associates accountable for performance, service, and results.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, recognition, and development opportunities to support Associate growth and career progression.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment that promotes engagement and high performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and development planning discussions in a timely and thorough manner.
• Address performance concerns, behavior issues, and policy violations promptly in partnership with Human Resources.
• Support succession planning and talent development initiatives to ensure future organizational capability.
• Customer & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with consumer and business customers through proactive outreach, needs-based conversations, and exceptional service.
• Develop new business opportunities through referrals, networking, community involvement, and partnership with other lines of business.
• Represent the Bank within the community through civic involvement, networking events, business development activities, and relationship-building opportunities that enhance the Bank's visibility and support growth objectives.
• Manage and grow the branch portfolio by monitoring customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand household relationships, and retaining high-value customers.
• Business Development & Sales
• Drive achievement of branch goals related to revenue, deposits, consumer lending, referrals, portfolio growth, and customer acquisition.
• Partner with business lines and subject matter experts to deliver tailored financial solutions that meet customer needs and contribute to branch performance.
• Branch Performance
• Promote a relationship-based sales culture by coaching Associates to uncover customer needs, make referrals, and deliver tailored financial solutions.
• Monitor and manage branch scorecard metrics, proactively identifying trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve results.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability for individual and branch performance through goal setting, performance monitoring, and coaching.
• Risk Management & Compliance
• Monitor portfolio quality, identify emerging risks, and balance growth with sound credit practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and internal controls while identifying, managing, and escalating operational, credit, and compliance risks as appropriate.
• Operational Excellence
• o Allocate staffing and resources effectively to support business needs, service standards, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong operational controls to safeguard customer information, Bank assets, and overall branch security.
• Oversee completion and accuracy of operational documentation, records, and reports to support regulatory and business requirements.
• Monitor operational, compliance, and fraud-related risks, addressing issues promptly and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain audit and examination readiness by ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and control standards.
• Maintain reliable and predictable onsite attendance to meet business, customer, coverage, and operational needs.

PEOPLE LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for leading, coaching, developing, and managing team members. Responsibilities include workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, performance management, Associate development, succession planning, Associate engagement, retention, recognition, and addressing performance concerns in partnership with Human Resources.
