Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and safety-minded individual to join our team as an Equipment Yard Attendant / Material Handler. In this essential role, you will support our wood chipper and stump grinder parts operations by ensuring the smooth movement of inventory and materials across our facilities. You will play a key part in keeping operations running efficiently through hands-on work in the yard, warehouse, and repair shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Move materials and parts between various buildings and locations throughout our facilities
- Load and unload vendor/customer deliveries and pickups
- Assist in the warehouse as needed to support order fulfillment and inventory management
- Provide support in the repair shop to help technicians as required
- Pick up materials and parts from local vendors as necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized yard by properly storing equipment and materials in designated areas
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials movement with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the yard and related areas
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently while following all company procedures
Qualifications
- Proven ability to proficiently and safely operate the following equipment:
- Forklift
- Telehandler
- Skidloader
- Pickup Truck
- Must be physically fit and able to lift over 50 lbs regularly while performing demanding physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or equipment environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
