We are seeking a dedicated John Deere Parts Salesperson to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting customers with their parts needs, managing inventory, and providing expert advice on agricultural equipment parts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales experience, and a comprehensive understanding of automotive and agricultural repair parts. - Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate parts for their agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, ordering, and fulfillment processes.
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory movements, and customer interactions using inventory management software.
- Provide technical advice on vehicle maintenance, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting parts specials and new product offerings to customers.
- Handle cash transactions, perform cashiering duties, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain organized stock areas, ensuring safety standards are met, and inventory is easily accessible.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Prior experience in dealership sales or retail environment preferred, especially within automotive or agricultural sectors.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair is highly advantageous.
- Experience with inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software.
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, Microsoft Excel, and general organizational skills required for accurate record keeping.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills to build lasting customer relationships.
