We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Chief Engineer who loves to take care of our guests and is genuinely invested in the overall operation and success of the hotel. Core Responsibilities:
- Receive daily work assignments from Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
- Active management in the supervision of all work and repairs being performed.
- Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments
- Complete responsibility for maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment and systems. This is a hands on position that requires active, vigorous leadership.
- Focus on quality, service standards, and the company mission statement is of paramount importance.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance to guest rooms and public area work orders.
- Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces according to hotel requirements.
Qualifications:
- Commensurate or transfer skill set is primary importance. Three years experience in a hotel or commercial setting is required.
- Journey person experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC trade.
- Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
- Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
