What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Estimator position at LandMark Excavation & Site Work?
Growing NJ based construction company is looking for an experienced estimator to join the team. Estimator is responsible for preparing bids on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Scope of work includes but not limited to demolition, clearing, soil, grading, underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, etc.), paving and concrete work. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who can manage several ongoing projects.

Responsibilities include:
· Developing estimates and bidding on residential, commercial and public projects.
· Project sourcing and selection.
· Estimating the project from beginning through bid submission.
· Understanding of architectural and engineering plans, take-offs, etc.
· Communicate and develop relationships with general contractors and developers.
· Monitor upcoming or existing bid opportunities.
· Communicate and establish relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
· Assist with procuring materials and subcontractors on successful bids.
· Must be a self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
· Well organized and able to oversee many ongoing projects in the bid and construction phase.
· Experience with estimating software.

- 5 years’ estimating and bidding experience
