This position reports to Member Solutions leadership. Serves as a subject matter expert and training resource for the Member Solutions department. Responsible for assisting internal or external partners, or members as needed, while also reducing delinquencies and risk for the Credit Union. Monitors the effectiveness of the Credit Union’s policies and recommends changes when necessary.

Monitors the effectiveness of the Credit Union’s policies and recommends changes when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum 2 years collection experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
- Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all relevant programs and systems used for this job.
- Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
- Works accounts with a range of delinquencies, usually sixty days past due or more.
- Draws conclusions by analyzing account information, financial transactions, legal documents, and gathers any additional information necessary to determine appropriate solutions.
- Manages daily queues and assignments through Member Solutions systems, vendors, emails, etc.
- Communicates and negotiates with 3rd party vendors such as attorneys, investors, government entities, or service providers.
- Analyzes complex payment histories, financial documents, legal documents, or location information.
- Prioritizes workload dependent on regulatory deadlines.
- Manages specialized reporting responsibilities.
- Reads contracts and legal documents, and shares with attorney, when needed.
- Cross trains Member Solutions Associates or Assistants in specialty area.
- Acts as a Member Solutions Associate when not fulfilling the Member Solutions Specialist role.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
