This 40 hr/week position requires working weekdays and every other Saturday.

Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM

NATURE AND SCOPE
This position will report to the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager and will overall be responsible for actively promoting and selling Landmark Credit Union’s banking products and services and performing Teller duties. This position will be working with members on opening various accounts, completion and processing of loan applications, and basic member service duties such as CD redemptions, accepting wire instructions and performing all types of cash handling / teller transactions.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of one-year previous teller experience within retail banking. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
3. Demonstrated ability to refer or cross-sell products and/or prior sales experience preferred.
4. Prior knowledge or the ability to quickly learn banking products including their benefits and features.
5. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
7. Must have or be able to attain National Mortgage Licensing System registration (NMLS#).
8. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
9. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Learn and become skilled at opening all forms of deposit accounts, including IRA and HSAs vehicles.
2. Learn to proficiently perform loan interviewing.
3. Sell debt protection and cross-sell other credit union services.
4. Gain proficiency with credit scoring and analysis.
5. Will learn the use of the Credit Guide Scoring System to help evaluate loan applications.
6. Counsels members on the wise use of credit.
7. Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
8. Cross-sells other services to members.
9. Perform all teller transactions.
10. May train to and perform overrides for other associates as needed.
11. May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
