What We Need
We are looking for a tech-savvy IT Support Desk Specialist to join our accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for internal technical support. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting staff with technology-related needs, especially those related to accounting software and secure data handling.
What You’ll Do
· Provide first-level technical support to staff via phone, email, or in person.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
· Assist in testing new equipment and systems.
· Manage network user accounts, permissions, and access.
· Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software and peripherals.
· Document support requests and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system.
· Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees from a technology perspective.
· Set up and deploy new computers.
· Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
What We’d Love
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· One to three years of experience in IT support or help desk role, preferably in a professional services environment.
· Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals. Mac experience a plus.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong troubleshooting, technical support, and documentation skills.
· Experience with remote support tools.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
· Familiarity with accounting software and data security best practices are a plus.
