JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Assistant/Settlement Coordinator role’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate and prepare final documents for residential home settlements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and organize documents to ensure an accurate and complete settlement process.
- Analyze and organize all documents for settlements for distribution to Community Sales Managers.
- Record receipt of funds and settlement transactions in accounting software.
- Schedule, Communicate, and coordinate with buyers, agents, title companies, and lenders.
- Reconcile contracts to ensure accurate revenue and settlement documents.
- Process advances for construction loans.
- Provide an elevated level of professionalism to clients and internal customers.
- Accomplish other tasks as assigned by Management.

- Ability to prioritize as well as problem solve.
- Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in financial matters.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in bookkeeping and/or real estate & settlement experience is preferred.
- Experience with Hyphen and Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
