License & Title Clerk

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive License & Title Clerk to join our team at the Landmark Automotive Group of Springfield Illinois. This position is essential for ensuring accurate documentation and processing of vehicle titles and registrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive regulations and exceptional organizational skills to manage various administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vehicle title applications and registrations in accordance with state regulations.
• Verify and ensure the accuracy of all documents related to vehicle title and registration.
• Handle transactions related to sales and trade-ins, including the preparation of necessary paperwork.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding titles, registrations, and other related services.
• Maintain an organized and secure filing system for all title and registration documents.
• Coordinate with state DMVs and other agencies to resolve title discrepancies and issues.
• Stay updated on state laws and regulations affecting vehicle registration and titling procedures.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business administration or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle titling and registration processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with automotive dealership management software preferred.
