Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential, commercial, or municipal properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with irrigation system components, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring optimal water usage efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, timers, and sprinklers.
- Maintain and repair existing systems, identifying issues such as leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning components.
- Adjust system settings to ensure proper coverage and water conservation.
- Test irrigation systems for functionality and performance.
- Monitor weather and seasonal patterns to make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect landscapes to determine water needs and system suitability.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate with clients or supervisors regarding project progress and system recommendations.
- Perform general landscape maintenance duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in irrigation, landscaping, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an irrigation technician or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with various irrigation systems (manual, automatic, drip, etc.).
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Understanding of plumbing and basic electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Use of protective gear and adherence to safety protocols required.
