About The Role

The Maintenance Technician with a Carpentry Specialty plays a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of properties within the River Park Landings community. This position focuses on performing skilled carpentry repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance to uphold high standards of safety and functionality in residential and commercial real estate assets. The technician will collaborate closely with property management and other maintenance staff to address tenant requests and maintain the overall appeal of the properties. By proactively identifying and resolving carpentry-related issues, the role contributes to tenant satisfaction and the long-term value of the real estate portfolio. This position requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician with a focus on carpentry.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or vocational training in carpentry or a related trade.
• Experience working in real estate property maintenance or facility management.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of other maintenance trades such as plumbing or electrical work.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  
  

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency carpentry repairs including framing, cabinetry, door and window installation, and trim work.
• Inspect and maintain wooden structures to ensure safety and compliance with building codes and company standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to carpentry from tenants and property management.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and contractors to complete larger repair or renovation projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely.
• Assist in identifying potential improvements to property structures and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing maintenance duties.
